People can overcome abusive relationships may understanding that they have the right to be treated with respect.
Domestic violence describes a situation where one person in a relationship is using violence to control and dominate another person. Domestic violence victims and their batterers cut across all socioeconomic, demographic, and professional lines. It is an epidemic that is emphasized particularly with the female gender. While physical assault is often times the most common form of abuse, it is important to acknowledge that other forms of abuse are just as detrimental.
This is due to their previous experience with adults who abused or molested them. A child who has been sexually assaulted will feel insecure in the society and feel that everyone is going to hurt them. They will have a little self-possession, feel lonely and irritated. Moreover, the child can sense helpless, fear losing control and lack of respect and trust in authority. It is impossible for them to trust anyone that easily because of the past experiences that they had.
