It seems that Sedaris has a talent in finding humor in situations that might be humiliating and embarrassing for others. For example, when Sedaris moved to Paris he hoped to become fluent in French but was made fun of by the teacher, and in another story, he recounts an embarrassing moment at a party.
The author tells this story in a captivating way, while also teaching the audience important lessons. The author David Sedaris was trying to show people in his article that a difficult goal can be accomplished through determination and effort by showing that the students stayed in the class taught by a cruel teacher, all the students became exceedingly stressed out taking the course and the fact that the narrator has put previous efforts into learning French. The first point is that the narrator stayed in class even though his teacher was cruel to every single person on the first day of…. The author became accustomed to her criticism. What bothered the author most was his inability to fully comprehend her words.
A single day from his childhood in North Carolina where Sedaris and his siblings were home due to school being closed for few days because of bad weather. Although the story revolved around the children the mother was the main character. The mother in the Most of his stories are autobiographical in nature, and he often involves himself as one of the principle characters.
First and foremost, life needs people who can exhibit perseverance in any situation like David Sedaris and other classmates proved throughout their challenging French class. This essay demonstrated that education is meant for everyone regardless of their age. David was forty years when he decided to go to college, which for some may seem old. Ultimately, I realized that a teacher played. After David turned forty-one, he decided to return to school to better himself.
