Any rubric against which submissions are evaluated is listed on the submission page so students know how their submission are evaluated and what learning objectives the folder is related to. Group dropbox folders have a Group Folder icon beside their name. Any user in your group can submit files to the group folder. The Submissions column in the Folder List lets you know how many files your group submitted. The Submission History page provides details on who submitted files and when. Feedback, including grades, associated with group folders applies to the entire group.

I'm a TA in several modules and one thing I couldn't find yet is a system to help me manage student lab submissions. Most online collaborative tools I've seen do not allow me to, or make it quite complex to receive files from students and download all of them at once.
To access the Dropbox in D2L, click on the Evaluation link group located in the top navigation bar and select Dropbox from the drop-down menu. The Dropbox Board is a tool used to receive electronic files for evaluation and feedback. The Dropbox can also be used to coordinate and organize group projects.
Tutors are automatically informed of new dropbox submissions; students are informed when feedback is available. Inevitably, switching from paper-based submission to eSubmission will require some adjustment to administrative processes and ensuring that staff and students are familiar with and have confidence in the system. The size of each dropbox folder is limited to Mb per individual or Group. Students can also zip up their files which counts as a single file however, zip files cannot be submitted to Turnitin. The maximum file size limit Mb still applies.
