Macbeth's death was strangely sympathetic, you had to almost feel bad for him. He was corrupt and ultimately had no choice the to be a murder. Macbeth starts out a noble, brave, warrior, who had great flaws which made him into a tragic hero. At the very beginning of the play Macbeth is already starting to be overtaken by his yearning for power.

Before Macbeth is going to kill Duncan, He starts to get the hang of this whole deception thing: he 's calling on his entire body to help him out, telling his "false face" to hide the treachery of his "false heart. The two characters share the similarities of being brave and being prideful. Although these men have common traits of a hero, the one major difference is who they attempt to take down; Beowulf murders horrendous, murderous monsters to save lives of people but Macbeth murders other people to keep his place as king and to please his wife, Lady Macbeth. Their mental states also differ from each other, one is more mentally stable than the other towards the end.
The audience feel a great sense of tragedy as the death of the lovers would not have happened if they had an extra few minutes. Shakespeare succeeds to create an impending sense of tragedy and foreboding by using a variety of successful devices. For example, he wrote in different moods within a scene, also he included a very important prologue at the beginning of the play.
